The Philippine Archipelago
By: www.experiencephilippines.com

Pilipinas. More than 7,107 islands. A mixed culture of Malay, Spanish and Chinese. A place where everyone sings at the drop of a hat. Where everyone can converse in English. And where a smile is part of the landscape.

Warm seas, balmy weather, good surfing, delicious food. Eating is part of the welcome. A land of 84.61 million people with a home-grown variety of hospitality unlike any other.

Home of the Philippine Eagle and majestic Mount Apo in Mindanao. Here are found 1,000 species of birds and animals-- the tarsier, the tamaraw, the mouse deer. There are 10,000 species of tree, shrub and fern. Here are found rainforests and waterfalls and beaches of white sand.

Here live 60 tribal groups, such as the Badjao in Sulo who live on stilthouses on the sea, and the Kalingas of Bontoc, once a fierce tribe of Luzon.

Everything is cheap in the Philippines. It is one of the shopping centers of Asia. Good lodging places are plentiful, and so is transportation.

Here flowers bloom profusely, and women are known for their beauty and charm. Here birds sing. Here is a summer like no other. Pilipinas.
